Student government tackles more tough bills

The Student Government Association, having nothing better to do, met Tuesday, October 10.

The following positions on USC are open: EE, IE, ChemE, TE, MatE, Chemistry, Psychology, Management, Economics, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior. Applications are due today in the SGA office. Applications for Freshman Rep and Architecture Rep are due Friday, October 20. The Campus Planning and Safety committee needs a Chair. More information and applications can be obtained at the SGA office.

Undergraduate Student Council (USC) discussed and tabled two appointment bills. One was appointments to the Undergraduate Judiciary Cabinet, and the other was appointments for undergraduate committee chairs.

USC will discuss the following bills next week: the two tabled bills, allocations to the Sports Club Council to prepare a handbook, to SAC to purchase a new van, to the Racquetball Club for a budget, to the Sports Club Council for O'Keefe Gym supervisors, an allocation to send 6 undergraduates to the Student Advisory Council, to the Rowing Club for the "Head of the Charles" Regatta, and to the Society of Women Engineers for a women's suffrage speaker.

Graduate Student Senate approved the charter for New Generation Campus Ministries. GSS also funded an elections party open to all graduate students at BLT's from 5-7 p.m. tonight.
