ACOG wants SAC intramural fields early

Expansion of the Aquatic Center's temporary Olympic seating over one of the two remaining SAC intramural fields could begin as early as February 1 if the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) gets its way. The construction schedule shift would affect intramural soccer and Polar Bear Softball competition.

Keep SAC Field as long as possible

SAC Field is a Tech institution. That large light green rectangle next to the Aquatic Center means a lot to many students. To some, it is an opportunity to compete in good sportsmanship and athletics. For others, skinned knees and ligament damage earned in friendly combat symbolize the SAC Field experience.

GTOC attracts service-minded students

GTOC--the Georgia Tech Olympic Coalition. It is a completely volunteer organization with no dues, membership criteria, or specific commitments except exerting hard work for the community. The primary purpose of GTOC is community service; it also provides a way for students to earn volunteer credit and get volunteer experience. The Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG), is looking for seasoned volunteers for the Olympics during the summer of 1996. ACOG needs dependable, experienced volunteers, which GTOC provides through volunteer experience.

Tech squeaks past Fightin' Irish in a marathon victory

The volleyball team saw their phenomenal 25-match home-winning streak come to an end last weekend, but not before the Jackets pulled of a dramatic and unlikely comeback victory over Notre Dame, the eighth-ranked team in the nation. The five-set win over Notre Dame propelled the team to the number 20 spot in the nation.
