A busy quarter at The Catholic Center
Food, Fun, and Father Mario keep students believing and serving.
Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of Georgia Tech and Georgia State students, the Catholic Center at Georgia Tech has had its busiest quarter yet.
The activities of the Catholic Center are open to all, regardless of religious background.

Weekly Bible seminars and studies are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. During these, Professor Mark Spearman offers lively insights into the Bible.
Every Saturday at 8:30 a.m., a group of people carpool downtown to help distribute soup and sandwiches to the needy. The group returns to campus by 12:30 p.m.
In addition to these events, Masses are held at the Catholic Center regularly. Weekday Mass is held at 5:30 p.m. every weekday with the exception of Wednesday. Saturday Vigil is held at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday Masses are held at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 5:30 p.m.
Every Sunday after the 11:30 Mass, the Catholic Center has a social featuring coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, doughnuts, and lively conversation.
Besides these regularly scheduled activities, the Catholic Center offers seasonal ones as well. In September, they had a barbeque to kick off the start of Fall Quarter. After midterms, they held their quarterly retreat at the monastary in Conyers, Ga., where theey explored the topic "Spirituality and Our Purpose on This Earth." The retreat offered an opportunity to regain peace and serenity after the stress of midterms.
The Catholic Center is located at 172 5th Street, on the corner of 5th Street and Brittain Drive. To get there by Stinger, get off the bus at the Fowler and Ferst stop and walk a block to the left.

Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Center at 11:30 a.m. A traditional Thanksgiving banquet will follow at 1 p.m.
