ROBERT FERST THEATER FOR THE ARTS

Ted Dykstra (left) and Richard Greenblatt (right) display their apprehension before their nerve-shattering first encounter with the grand piano.

I sat in front of my computer, as usual, doing something completely techie. The only key strokes that I was thinking off were the ones that typed "mutex_lock(&lock)" onto my screen. I sat there coding in my woeful existence when I happened to chance upon this little gem.
This diamond, 2 Pianos 4 Hands, is the latest musical slated to hit the Robert Ferst Theater for the Arts January 5 through January 7. What does this musical have to do with a "CS-thing" key stroke combination a certain graduate EAS student asks?
Let me tell you: this musical, performed on a pair of pianos, will probably have the most entertaining series of keystrokes that you will hear for a long time. (Aside from a frustrated Techie banging multifarious appendages on his / her keyboard.)
Anyone who has faced the demonic dread of a first piano lesson, or faced grim Greenlee induced apprehension about life will be rolling into the aisles with laughter at this charming fusion of dramatic and musical theater.
Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt, perched on a pair of pianos, perform a uniquely humorous routine that grows into a musical and encompasses early childhood memories, youthful dreams and middle-aged disappointments.
This show'll be a riot, especially for anyone tired of the Techie life-style. Go listen to some melodic keystrokes, leave your computer alone! For tickets and reservations contact (404) 894-9600.
