Students rally for Homecoming change

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and state legislators rallied together at the Kessler Campanile on Monday, May 20, in an attempt to send a clear message to the administration, the Board of Regents, the state of Georgia, and the rest of the world: Alienation of any part of the student body is not acceptable.

Despite less-than-perfect weather and problems in setting up on time, several hundred students showed up at the Kessler Campanile for Monday's Homecoming rally. Their message to the administration was clear--decisions that exclude parts of the student body from campus activities are simply not acceptable.

CE students prove that research can really be fun

Sparkling beaches crystal clear water tropical breezes island people Sounds like a dream spring break vacation. Add eighteen orphans, open sewers, sporadic electricity, and Chihuahua-sized mosquitoes, and you have the experience of a lifetime. Though not a typical resort destination, Monte Cristi, a small rural town in the Dominican Republic (DR), is where Darren Pence, David Kowalsky, Annie Pearce, and Joe Harder, all students from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, visited to collect data for ongoing research in the field of sustainable development.

Top-seeded Jackets head to NCAAs

The time for postseason baseball has finally arrived, and things look promising for Yellow Jacket fans as the Jackets, who have earned the top seed in the NCAA Mideast Regional, take their shot at a College World Series berth. The Jackets opened play yesterday against Tennessee Tech, the sixth seed, in Starkville, Mississippi.
